About OUTspokin’

Founded in Colorado in 1998, OUTspokin’ is an LGBTQ+ cycling organization. Bicyclists of all abilities train together and participate in cycling events throughout Colorado and the United States. OUTspokin’ has presented a strong, positive presence at cycling events including the Courage Classic, the Buffalo Classic, and the MS150 among many others.

Most of our riders are gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender, but our team also includes supportive friends and family of Colorado’s LGBQT community. Our riders range in age from early twenties to mid-sixties and older. Abilities range from beginners who have never ridden in a cycling event to seasoned cyclists who combine participation in OUTspokin’ with training for Colorado’s most difficult cycling events.

OUTspokin’ focuses on touring rather than racing. Our members have registered as a group and participated in events including the Elephant Rock Century, the MS150, the Courage Classic, Ride the Rockies, Triple Bypass, Venus de Miles, Tour de Cure, and the Buffalo Classic. We have also helped our riders train for various AIDS rides!

We welcome riders at all stages of their cycling careers. Anyone riding with OUTspokin’ must be a paid member; membership information is on the membership page.

This year we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of OUTspokin’. Over the years, we have had many members, we have riden many miles, and we have raised a lot money for different non-profit organizations. Please join us for the next 20 years!
